The prestigious annual Irish Law Awards event took place on Friday June 14 hosting in excess of 500 members of the legal profession for an event in the Convention Centre, Dublin. The Irish law awards, sponsored by Dye & Durham Corporation, recognises the remarkable achievements of legal professionals across Ireland. There are 19 judges on the judging panel, many of whom are members of the profession themselves. The master of ceremonies on the night was Ivan Yates, the well-known broadcaster, businessman and former politician. Louise Howard of Louise Howard Solicitors was the winner in the category of sole principal solicitor of the year for the Connacht/Ulster region. Louise Howard is qualified as a solicitor since 2006 and opened her own business in 2017 in the heart of Galway city. The firm offers a range of expert legal services and focuses mainly on personal injury, including medical and dental negligence, property and probate. “I was delighted to win this award which is in recognition of all of my hard work and dedication to the business,” Ms Howard said. “I would like to especially thank my clients for their loyal and continued support.”
